Joining a small start up studio comes with taking on more generalist roles, so I’ve rapidly evolved into more 3D aspects of digital art. I’ve been primarily working on sculpting and character modeling in Zbrush and Maya, as well as texturing using Substance Painter. I’m also in charge of any and all concept art and illustration work.

While at Blackginger, I did all sorts of work on a variety of projects including concept art, storyboarding, graphics design, 2D animation, ink and paint, motion graphics, 3D modelling and texturing, matte painting, and live action rotoscoping.

Cape Town · 2010 – 2012
I studied 3D animation using Autodesk Maya. We learned all the basics of 3D production, from conceptualization to 3D rendering and compositing, and in our final year we worked as a team to create an animated short film, which I wrote and directed.
